Power of Creation
with Special Late Season Prices
A short exploration in a changing landscape
This is part of our "Hors'e D'oeuvres Series." These short trips are a great start to a longer trip in the Horses homeland. It's priced with airfare, accomodations the night before and after the ride, to which can be added all sorts of things - rental cars, hotels, other tours and activities. The starting and ending dates of any tour built around the horse d'oeuvres are of course flexible and your trip can stretch for as long or as short as you wish.
Feel the power of creation on your ride through the fascinating terrain. Experience the cosy atmosphere of a Holiday Farm, surrounded by fertile farmlands and enjoy the comfort of a warm out door tub.
Welcome to Iceland! You'll arrive early on Thursday at Keflavik Airport, Iceland and take the Flybus Shuttle into Reykjavik to your guesthouse. Here you'll have the day to enjoy a bit of this northernmost capital. There are lots of things to see and do and plenty of places for lunch and dinner, which are on your own.
Friday: Reykjavík - Holiday Farm
Your outfitter will pick you up around 9AM and take you to the Holiday Farm. After a meeting your hosts and the horses the riding group will head off into the lovely countryside. We ride along pleasant riding tracks and discover the terrain shaped by the power of the earth. Mountains, valleys and hidden lakes are revealed before returning to the farm for a hearty, home-cooked dinner and bathing in a hot tub heated with geothermal water.
Saturday: Holiday Farm - Reykjavík
Explore the surroundings of the farm. Moss covered lava flows, green pastures and reforestation efforts appear as riders move through these fascinating landscapes, samples of most conditions of Icelandic vegetation. Routes may vary according to the time of travel and weather of the season but riding cross country on a surefooted Icelandic horse is a delightful experience all year round. After a full day's ride a bus is ready to bring us back to Reykjavík where we arrive at approx. 19:00.
Saturday night's accomodationds in the center of Reykjavik are included in the price. If you are going to leave Iceland after this tour you'll fly out on Sunday morning to mainland Europe and to the US on Sunday afternoon.]
